Quality Treatment

Hometown Dental Co does complete, thorough dental cleaning every day.

Prevention is the key.

Many people often wonder if their biannual dental appointment is essential. The short answer is – yes! Good preventive care can help reduce your risk factors for certain illnesses and help you achieve excellent oral health.

Your oral health is essential to the well-being of your entire body. Brushing and flossing daily at home is necessary to keep your smile looking its best. Visiting your dentist every six months for a comprehensive exam and cleaning is crucial to ensure your teeth and smile stay healthy and beautiful.

Regular dental exams and professional teeth cleaning are the keys to minimizing or avoiding oral health issues. These routine check-ups and cleanings play a critical role in preventive dental care and help keep your teeth and gums healthy.

A healthy mouth can help protect the rest of your body from severe medical disorders. Untreated oral infections can spread to other parts of your body, including vital organs. In addition, monitoring your dental health can detect signs of existing issues with your overall well-being that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Furthermore, ensuring tip-top oral health and a healthy smile will help you avoid costly dental procedures long term.

What are the Benefits of Dental Cleanings?

During your visit, your teeth are professionally cleaned by a hygienist. Teeth cleaning eliminates bacteria build-up, which can develop even if you brush and floss regularly. If plaque hardens into tartar, it can only be removed by a dental professional.

Your cleaning includes flossing and polishing to eliminate old stains and leave your mouth feeling ultra-fresh. A thorough cleaning helps improve the health of your teeth and can have a whitening effect on your smile.

Studies show the links between your oral health and overall health. Dental cleanings can help lessen cancer risk, lung infections, heart disease and stroke, and diabetes.v

At this time, your hygienist may give you tips on improving your at-home care routine and show you proper techniques for brushing and flossing.
